Paul Alex Gray

I’m a speculative fiction author and creative technologist.

My work explores how technology reshapes identity, power, and what it means to be human, probing the tension between who we are, who we perform, and what remains underneath.

Through immersive worlds and future-facing ideas, I challenge assumptions about where we’re headed.
Beyond writing, I’ve designed, developed, and launched digital products spanning expression, community, gaming, messaging, and developer tools. Interactive works that have reached and been played by millions.

My fiction has been published in Nature Futures, McSweeney’s, and multiple science fiction and fantasy anthologies, grounding my speculative lens in literary spaces that value both craft and provocation.

I’m drawn to the intersection of imagination and infrastructure, where the stories we tell and the systems we build quietly define the future.
